The browsing function of ChatGPT4 has temporarily stopped. Apparently, it was bypassing paywalls and browsing. In other words, it seems that it was reading paid content that normally you have to pay for, and OpenAI is in the midst of working on an update to prevent this.
I thought about using ChatSonic as before to extract the information, but I think the specifications have changed from before, and it no longer provides specifics related to investments (numbers, stock names, etc.). … To be more precise, it just means that the previous method can’t be used to extract them.
In addition, since there is also the fact that the extraction source’s deadline is properly measured and delimited, it would be different to temporarily use a tool other than chatGPT4 browsing in the middle.
The problem is how long the stoppage of the ChatGPT browsing feature will last, but there is nothing we can do about it. I had originally planned to take a break from economic forcast measurement in August due to the summer lull (also due to my own holiday schedule), but mid-July is a little too early.
But, I repeat, there is nothing we can do about it, and I think that once about 12 months’ worth of data has accumulated, we will be able to see to some extent whether or not it is useful, so when we can’t use it, we will wait patiently until we can. I’m considering taking a long-term view.
