“Asian man trading while looking at charts at his desk”
Image extraction: DALL・E2
inv.jp = a site where a part-time individual trader records notes and memos related to investments.
Originally, I was planning to create a website as a memo for FX trading and had even acquired the domain name yfx.jp. However, I started to get into stocks and cryptocurrencies, and happened to come across the good domain name inv.jp, so I created a site for investment-related failure notes, memos, and reminders.
(My Twitter account name, yfxdotjp, is a remnant of the previous site.)
By the way, since this site is failure notes, the focus is basically on failures. Failures are not to be forgotten, and the key to success is hidden only in failures…. I think.
Additionally, I had a following the crowd idea to play around with generative AI like ChatGPT and record weekly or monthly market sentiments and results. However, ChatGPT does not seem to be able to incorporate the current latest information into its algorithm, so I use ChatSonic, an AI that also reads the latest information, via API. It would be interesting to get pass/fail data from it, so I’m trying it for now. If another AI that specializes in economic information becomes available, I would like to switch to them or add them.
As I trade using chart patterns, I think looking at charts is sufficient to understand market sentiment. However, I’m doing this on a whim to play with new things. If the results are too poor or if I simply get bored, I will of course stop.

At this stage where the search market seems to be eaten by AI, it may not be wise to start a blog, but since this site is a memo, it’s not entirely unrelated to such a situation.
Btw, the English articles on this site are also being assisted with translation by chatGPT.
Addendum (2023.05.21):
The “+Browse with Bing” or other plug-ins are now available in ChatGPT, so that the answers can include the latest information. Therefore, ChatSonic has not been used since 2023.05.21.
Addendum (2024.04.11):
The “ChatGPT economic forecast” was conducted for about one year and has concluded. The results are on this page.
Addendum (2024.12.04):
The title of this site has been changed from “Personal Investor’s Failure Notes” to “My Backtesting Notes.” The purpose remains the same: to serve as a blog for storing backtesting records and results. That said, I plan to post articles occasionally when I feel like it and have the time, so the title change doesn’t signify any real difference from how things have been.
